Comments about Folding Rocking Loveseat:
I purchased and assembled this chair. I enjoy this chair very much. I will list the things I do not like first, and then I will list the things I do like.
What I do not like: The assembly was frustrating. The pieces were not labeled. Some of the pieces looked very similar and were differentiated by saying "the shorter" of two particular pieces. If you measure them, the difference was less than 1/16 of an inch. The true difference was where the holes were predrilled. Because the bones of the chair are wood, if you pick the wrong piece, you may ruin the hole.
Normally, a decent photograph or diagram would make this easier. These instructions came on one page, with very blurry black and white photos, which did not clear up any confusion.
Nonetheless, it was an interesting puzzle, and after a bit of time I figured it out. Perhaps the pieces could be labeled with a sticker or other small marking and the instructions rewritten.
The chair is bulky and not very portable beyond moving it around the house or yard, unless it is to a place where you do not plan on carrying it very far from your car or SUV. I have not transported it so I cannot say if it would fit in a trunk of an averaged size sedan.
What I like about the chair: The materials are very sturdy. Once assembled, it is very comfortable and sturdy to sit in, with no wobble. The materials do not look or feel cheap at all.
The rocking motion is not a regular rocking chair/back and forth like a porch or baby rocking chair. The "rocking" is in the seat, not the legs. The legs sit firmly on the ground. It glides from a seated, sitting upright position forward so the seat raises up and the back/head rest lowers toward the ground.
The chair, while bulky, folds flat and is light enough to carry by one person short distances. It measures (approx.) about 41 in. wide and 45 in. high when folded.
I have been storing this chair on my patio and using it in my yard. It's very comfortable and quite relaxing.
The instructions that came with the chair is the only reason I did not give this 5 stars; for me they kept it from being perfect. If I was more mechanically inclined, perhaps this would not have been such an issue for me. The instructions were (and have been) the only real bad part.
I feel the price is very reasonable for the finished product, after considering other folding rocking chairs in stores and internet stores. I would purchase from this store again if I had the need in the future.
Side note - I purchased the plastic removable cup holders that go on the arms. This was a good purchase as they are sturdy, and the cup is wide enough to fit a can with a foam "coozie".
