The wide armrests add comfort and assist in getting up. Optional cupholders slip over the armrests to hold your favorite beverage (large size accomodates cans with insulated foam sleeves). The frame is clear southern pine, known for it's strength, and is stained golden and treated with a water repellent. This is the same wood used in roof trusses, strong and knot free. The design is unique in that it allows the chair to rock (view chair rocking) gently by pivoting back and forth as well as fold up (view chair folding) for storage and travel. An added bonus is that it can be converted into a flat recliner/cot (view as recliner) for sunbathing or napping. The sling is sewn from an all weather synthetic fabric for strength and longevity. I was lucky enough to run across these at a fair in MA, but they flew out of the crafter's truck before I could get my hands on one.
The shipping was a bit much, but if you ever get to sit in one of these chairs you'll have to have (at least) one!

It's okay. Not wide enough.

The finishing is too bad. The screw holes were not perfect and were crooked therefore the final finished product looks all crooked. The wood was chipped and splinters on both side of the armrest, it hurts badly if you touch. Too narrow from the head part.

Do NOT buy.

EverywhereChair.com Response: Workmanship on this item is completely acceptable for a chair at this price. It is actually built be a small wood shop in GA and sold at craft shows around the southeast. Chairs are shipped broken down (for shipping cost reasons) and when assembled correctly, fit together nicely and evenly.

I have been looking for this chair a long time. You will have to put it together, doesn't come with instructions. It also needs a wedge of wood to increase the height of the armrests. You will get a lot of people looking and asking about the chair.

Overall, a great price, great product.
