i bought last year's version of this chair, at the beginning of the summer, and rinsed it off everyday after the beach, and it started rusting before the summer was over with!! and the material started ripping! for the price and comfort of the chair it should last 2+ years!!

This product seemed like a solution for us to bring beach chairs to a remote island location. We purchased, separately, stroller bags to transport them on the airplane safely.
However, the quality of the construction needs improvement. There is so little give in the amount of fabric that they ripped after the first two days of use. We ordered four chairs and only one did not tear. No one in our group is over 200 lbs, and the limit listed was 250 lbs. The ratchet mechanism also gets stuck. We sent photos back to the vendor and will hopefully get replacements or a refund.
